Drugs as substances taken into the body that modify or affect chemical reactions. Antibiotics for treating bacterial infections — what they do (kill bacteria) and what they do NOT do (affect viruses). Some bacteria are resistant to antibiotics, which reduces antibiotic effectiveness.
